Do you bring clarity to complex cost issues and maintain an overview? In the BVD Cost Specialist Support, you will take responsibility for enforcement and health costs. You ensure correct allocations, process invoices, and support specialist departments so that costs in enforcement are processed correctly, traceably, and efficiently.

Your tasks

• Processing of health, ancillary, and therapy costs as well as checking and accounting for invoices
• Determination and checking of subsidiary cost bearers incl. entry into GINA
• Triage and processing of accounts payable invoices in the SAP workflow
• Checking of enforcement and measure costs as well as clarification of responsibilities
• Processing of inquiries, reminders and creation of claims
• Consulting case managers as well as collaboration at the Cost Specialist Unit, manual and training

Your profile

• Commercial or medical basic training (e.g. MPA, ZPA) with experience in administration
• Ideally with professional experience in the areas of social insurance, social services or in a medical practice environment (e.g. doctor's or dentist's practice)
• Very good IT user skills
• Very good German or French skills with good knowledge of the other language
• Analytical thinking and confident grasping of complex circumstances
• Independent, careful and responsible working style

About the Probation and Enforcement Services

The Probation and Enforcement Services (BVD) are part of the Office for Penitentiary Services of the Canton of Bern. They implement the court-issued criminal sentences and enforce custodial sentences and criminal measures – outpatient, inpatient or in special forms such as community service, semi-liberty or Electronic Monitoring.
At the same time, the BVD takes over probation assistance. They support convicted persons in their integration and contribute to preventing recidivism. Their goal: a safe and sustainable return to society. From the beginning of enforcement until release, they accompany every case with clear responsibility.
The BVD Specialist Support area clarifies and manages cost issues in penitentiary services. It checks invoices and cost bearers, ensures correct processing of personal expenses and supports specialists as well as authorities. In addition, it optimizes processes and works closely with finance and legal services.
