Social Worker Intake, 60-80 %

The Social Services ensure through their work in the five social centers that people in the city of Zürich can rely on effective basic social care.

For the Intake at the Sozialzentrum Albisriederhaus directly in the center, we are looking for reinforcement starting immediately or by arrangement.

Tasks ##

• You comprehensively clarify concerns within the framework of economic and personal social assistance for clients.
• You offer short-term financial support with the aim of professional and social integration.
• You are responsible for triage, networking and coordination and initiate immediate measures in the areas of social assistance and crisis intervention.
• You work together with neighborhood teams, specialist offices, authorities and social insurance providers.
• You are administratively supported by clerks, can draw on the knowledge of internal specialist offices and work closely with your colleagues in the team

Profile ##

• Degree in Social Work (FH) with a specialization in Social Work, completed or nearing graduation (applications from students in their final year are expressly welcome)
• Knowledge of the legal foundations and procedures of economic social assistance as well as ideally initial experience in their practical application
• Commercial flair and good knowledge of financial topics
• Rapid grasp of complex situations and ability to assume different roles in counseling
• Enjoyment of working with people and good handling of conflicting expectations
