The Interessengemeinschaft Lebendige Traditionen Basel-Landschaft (IG-LT BL) supports associations and federations in preserving, developing, and making living traditions visible.
Our office is being established and is intended to become the hub of a vibrant network: it connects, promotes the exchange of knowledge, advises, and supports – from association management and youth promotion to financing and communication, as well as educational and further training offers.

For this exciting activity, we are looking, starting immediately or at the latest from January 2027, for a

Head of Office Lebendige Traditionen BL (60%)

As Head of Office Lebendige Traditionen, you can expect a demanding, versatile, and exciting task in a motivating environment.

You bear the main responsibility for the establishment of a viable network and a demand-oriented range of services. In doing so, you have great opportunities for design regarding the content and strategic direction. As a committed and experienced personality who enjoys participating in a pioneering establishment process, you will lead the office operationally and support the actors of the member associations.

Your tasks include the following focal points:

Strategically:

• Further development of the office (recommendations by the Board): sharpening the objectives and the demand-oriented offering during the establishment phase and for the later regular operation
• Further development of the advisory and service offering with a wide range of courses and workshops
• Collaboration in developing a long-term financing strategy for the IG-LT BL
• Establishment of training and mediation offers
• Establishment and maintenance of a sustainable network with all sponsors, course instructors, project managers, municipalities, media, and other actors
• Acquisition of further members of the IG-LT BL with the goal of achieving the broadest possible coverage of sponsors

Operatively:

• Operative management and budget responsibility of the office (reporting to the Board)
• Coverage of the office opening hours (meeting and consultation appointments)
• Advising members and stakeholders
• Leading/participating in projects of the IG-LT BL along strategic objectives
• Organization of your own events and participation in network events of third parties
• Leading the support group and freelance employees in projects
• Cooperation and exchange with the Board
• Further expansion and maintenance of the website

You bring with you:

You enjoy the strategic-operative and goal-oriented further development of the office and have experience in the association sector or folk culture. You have several years of experience in project management and are familiar with official cultural funding. With your extraordinary organizational and communicative competencies and your winning personality, you develop a sustainable network and a service-oriented orientation of the office, bringing with you a lot of initiative and a high sense of responsibility, flexibility, and resilience. You have a degree from a (technical) university at least at Bachelor level or comparable several years of experience. Good knowledge of folk culture topics and the challenges of associations and federations of amateur culture are an advantage for the task.

We are flexible regarding home office possibilities, but we expect that you also actively build and maintain your network with on-site presence.
