Childcare Specialist Schule Gabler, 80 %

For our after-school care centers at Schule Gabler, we are looking for reinforcement as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.

Tasks ##

We are looking for a committed and flexible personality to support our team. You will work from Monday to Friday in one or more of our five after-school care centers, in which children of different age groups are cared for. In doing so, we attach great importance to teamwork and good cooperation with the employees. The exact working hours can be discussed in a personal interview with the Head of Care.

Your tasks include:

• Co-designing the school-based care as well as ensuring daily operations
• Accompanying and supporting the students in social and academic matters, e.g., with homework
• Contacts with parents
• Administrative and domestic tasks
• Participation in holiday care and on school-free days

Profile ##

• As a childcare specialist, you have a degree as a Fachfrau / Fachmann Betreuung (EFZ) / Kleinkindererzieher*in or an equivalent qualification
• In the case of a foreign diploma, Swiss diploma recognition is a mandatory requirement.
• Professional experience in the care of children in after-school care is an advantage
• Enjoyment of active and close care of the children
• Ability to work in a team and flexibility
• Strong communication skills when dealing with the childcare team, teachers, and domestic service team
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form

The Schulkreis Uto is one of 7 school districts in the city of Zürich and includes the city districts 2 and 3 with the quarters Leimbach, Wollishofen, Enge, Friesenberg, and Alt-Wiedikon.

The Schule Gabler is located in the preferred quarter Enge in the city of Zürich in the immediate vicinity of Lake Zürich, Enge station, and Rieterpark. Our school building has been operated as a day school since the 25/26 school year. 13 primary level classes and 6 kindergartens are housed in the 150-year-old school building.
