The Berufsbildungszentrum Olten is the regional competence center for basic and continuing vocational training and consists of the Gewerblich-Industriellen, the Kaufmännischen and the Gesundheitlich-Sozialen vocational school as well as the Adult Education Center. Since 2025, apprentices of the new apprenticeship Specialist Rail Transport (Logistics field) have been trained at the Berufsbildungszentrum Olten. For GIBS Olten, we are looking for an immediate or by arrangement, fixed-term Teacher of vocational knowledge Specialist Rail Transport EFZ, 18%.

Your responsibility

You train apprentices for the direct operation of locomotives (category A40), in train preparation as well as in general logistics topics. In doing so, you act from the role of the shunting controllers and locomotive drivers.

You actively contribute your own professional experience as a locomotive driver and have the willingness to familiarize yourself with logistics topics.

You specifically promote the methodological and social competencies of the apprentices and accompany them in a situation-related manner.

The individual preparation and follow-up of the lessons is your responsibility, whereby you take the learning location coordination into account.

You assist in the creation of teaching materials for all three apprenticeship years.

Your profile

You have a completed vocational apprenticeship or the certificate as a locomotive driver, at least in category A40 and with at least 5 years of professional experience.

Ideally, you possess a degree from a pedagogical training (e.g., Basismodul EHB) or are willing to complete it.

You enjoy working with young people.

A confident and competent appearance characterizes you.

You have the consent of your main employer for this teaching activity within the framework of 5 lessons per week.
