The Riedtli location in the Waidberg school district was opened in the 2025/26 school year. We run three classes from kindergarten to middle school with a total of 21 students. To complement our management team, we are looking for an experienced
Head of HPS Care, 80%, starting from 01 January 2027.

Tasks

• Management of the special education care in the areas of personnel, operations, and pedagogy
• Personnel management of the employees in the care area with a span of control of approximately 20 employees
• Ensuring need- and requirement-oriented care in lessons and in care
• Support for the school management at the location in the planning and implementation of school development processes
• Deputy for the school management in the daily organization at the location

Profile

• Degree in the field of social pedagogy at tertiary level (University of Applied Sciences, Higher Vocational School)
• Completed leadership training or the willingness to complete such, as well as practical leadership experience
• Experience in the special education field
• Strong social and self-competencies, as well as a clearly integrative attitude
• Very good team and communication skills

About us

The Heilpädagogische Schule der Stadt Zürich is a day special school for 4 to 15-year-old children with a cognitive and/or multiple impairment. As part of the Special Education department, we offer students, who are educated in separated classes in various school buildings in the City of Zurich, a supportive environment and focus the priorities of interdisciplinary promotion on their strengths.

Our teams at the various locations in the City of Zurich consist of special education teachers, social pedagogues, care specialists, apprentices, as well as assistants.
