Your responsibility:

• independent school psychological support of school communities, incl. assessment, diagnosis and indication
• application for school measures and case documentation
• recognizing and plausibly explaining problem situations of students and subsequently developing pragmatic and effective solutions and process accompaniment
• advising teachers, school management, parents, students as well as cooperation with various authorities and specialist agencies from the fields of pedagogy, social work, social pedagogy, psychology, medicine, justice and administration.
• realization of school-supporting measures such as working with school teams, office hours, planning of support measures, interventions in the school building, advising school management on school development issues and designing continuing education offers
• The requirement profile as a whole includes numerous informal leadership elements.

Your background:

• university studies in psychology (licentiate/Master)
• specialist knowledge in child and adolescent psychology
• professional experience in school psychology and/or in the school sector
• systemic-solution-oriented way of working
• flexibility and resilience
• socially competent, healthy personality who values cooperative collaboration and careful, transparent communication
• resilience, independence and assertiveness
• enjoyment in dealing with children and adolescents in a sometimes demanding environment

Schulpsychologischer Dienst

The Schulpsychologischer Dienst is a main department of the Amts für Volksschulen.
It is responsible for advice and prevention in school-related questions and problems. The SPD has the goal of psychosocial health of children, adolescents and young adults as well as the promotion of positive school careers.
