Das Bürgerliche Waisenhaus, with its pedagogical network, enables babies, children, adolescents, and young adults to receive promotion and care appropriate to their age and development.

The offer in the family and school-supplementary sector includes four Kitas, two day structures, and around 50 day families.

The day structure special offers (SpA) provides 8 care places for children from kindergarten and/or primary level SpA Baselstadt location Theodor. During the holiday period, the TS SpA team offers full-day care for children from the special offers of the entire canton of Baselstadt. The special offers are aimed at children who require intensive promotion and support due to their special educational and care needs.

Childcare Specialists EFZ (Specialization MmB or K), Social Pedagogue HF/FH or Childhood Pedagogue HF (m,f,d), 30 - 70%

Area of responsibility:

• the holistic care, support, and promotion of children of kindergarten and primary school age during school time and school holidays
• Pedagogical interventions adapted to the needs of the children being cared for
• Administrative work
• Crisis and conflict management (participation in the creation of individual plans, ability to act in a team during crisis situations)
• Further development of the still young offer
• Interdisciplinary cooperation (teachers, parents, external specialists/therapists)

We look forward to a committed, team-oriented person with

• training as FaBe EFZ (Specialization MmB or K), Social Pedagogue (FH, HF) or Childhood Pedagogue
• practical experience in the field of autism and/or ADHD
• experience with UK (advantageous)
• humor, joy, and empathy when working with children who have special care needs
• personal responsibility, resilience, flexibility, and initiative
