Commit yourself with us to the vision of a solidary society, as Care Professional Night and Weekend MNA 40 % temporary in Zürich Uster (m/f/d) Caritas Schweiz has been operating asylum centers at various locations in the canton of Zürich on behalf of the canton since March 2024. As care for the night and weekend service, you are responsible for the personal and age-appropriate care of unaccompanied minor asylum seekers during the night, on weekends and public holidays in the MNA center at Aathalstrasse in Zürich-Uster. Your tasks * Care and support of unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (MNA) during night, weekend and public holiday services * Ensuring night rest, compliance with house rules and safety regulations as well as regular inspection rounds * Active and reliable presence in the common areas as well as contact person for the youths * Guidance and support of the youths in everyday life, especially regarding nutrition, hygiene, order and cleanliness * Care of ill youths as well as appropriate action in conflict, crisis and emergency situations and information of the responsible bodies * Promotion of independence, social integration and respectful coexistence as well as participation in leisure activities * Documentation of special occurrences, reliable information transfer and shift handover * Cooperation with the social pedagogical teams and other specialist departments as well as participation in team meetings and training Our requirements * Completed training, experience in the migration sector and/or in youth work is an advantage * Joy in caring for youths and interest in their social integration * Good German language skills in speaking and writing, other language skills are an advantage * Quick comprehension as well as willingness and ability to quickly learn internal digital work and documentation systems * High resilience, conflict management competence as well as a calm, respectful and appreciative attitude * Independent, reliable and responsible way of working with initiative and good work organization * Cultural openness and teamwork skills * Ability to work actively, attentively and independently even during night shifts * Temporal flexibility for changing night shifts on all weekdays as well as early and late shifts on weekends and public holidays according to the duty roster * Impeccable character Work location: Canton Zürich (Uster) Start date: immediately or by arrangement The position is temporary for 3 months.
