Childcare Specialist or After-school Care Lead (temporary), Schule Riedtli, 60-80 %

Temporary position until 31.07.2027 with the possibility of subsequent permanent employment

For our young Schule Riedtli, we are looking for an engaged and responsible personality starting 1 February 2027 or by arrangement, who enjoys actively helping to shape the supplementary school care and leisure activities.

Tasks ##

• You supervise the children of the primary and kindergarten levels as part of the supplementary school care and help shape everyday life in the school building.
• You contribute to the cluster teams and participate in the further development of common pedagogical attitudes and processes.
• You flexibly support the entire care facility team as a floater at the kindergarten and primary levels.
• You contribute to the implementation of the principles of New Authority through your presence and attitude.

Profile ##

• You are an engaged, motivated, and curious specialist and possess completed training as a Fachfrau/Fachmann Betreuung EFZ or a completed degree in Social Work, a teaching diploma, or a comparable pedagogical degree.

• You set clear guardrails, provide orientation, and simultaneously create room for development.
• You approach employees and children appreciatively, clearly, and reliably, and contribute to the implementation of New Authority through your presence.

Important: All foreign diplomas and professional certificates must include a mandatory Swiss equivalence confirmation.

About us ##

In summer 2025, a new primary school with all-day school offers was opened in the former Sekundarschulhaus Riedtli in the Unterstrass district. It includes two double kindergartens, ten regular classes, as well as three classes of the Heilpädagogische Schule. By 2030, the school will grow to twelve regular classes. On each of the four upper floors, two to three regular classes and one multi-grade class of the Heilpädagogische Schule form a cluster with shared rooms and close cooperation in the overall team. As an inclusive, modern all-day school, we want to create an attractive place for learning, living, and working where everyone feels comfortable and can develop their potential.
