From Bern, Wohlen is easily accessible by Postauto. If you like being close to nature and being active, take the bicycle. A beautiful cycle path leads, for example, from Länggasse to Wohlensee and to Wohlen. With the Postauto, you can reach the village from Bern main station every half hour. Our school building is centrally located in the village with an exceptionally beautiful view of the lake and the Alpine chain. We conduct the school entry level in 4 basic levels, and the subsequent school years in two multi-grade classes each. We place great importance on the social competence of our students. Conflicts are, for us, opportunities to prepare the children for life. Diversity gives us color. We experience nature firsthand with the children.

Tasks ###

Children with support needs from the 3./4. grade (8 lessons) and the 5./6. grade (9 lessons) will find an optimal and cool setting with you. You work with the children individually or in groups, usually integratively in the class, and build a trusting relationship. You work in close cooperation with the class teachers, write the support and education plans if necessary, and are the contact person for the parents of the children with support needs assigned to you. It is also possible to apply for only one of the two classes.

Requirements ###

Your working days are selectable in consultation with the teachers (the timetable may still be slightly corrected). You have a recognized qualification in the field of school special education or are currently in training for it. If possible, you have experience in teaching primary school children. You enjoy working together with the regular school teachers and the special education teachers of the school. You are a cheerful personality, a sunny nature, and yet a serious way of working is important to you.

An IF office with an enormous amount of working materials is available to you. Our teachers enjoy working and working successfully together with the special education teachers. We have a cheerful teaching staff of 25 teachers. We are a very colorful and open school. With us, it is possible to be creative and to help shape everyday school life within the framework of your own possibilities. Our students come from educated homes and are well cared for.
