Kantonsschule Schüpfheim/Gymnasium Plus runs a 4-year short-term gymnasium as well as the 5-year Gymnasium Plus with professional talent promotion. The Gymnasium Plus class track is aimed at gifted young people from the fields of sport, music, art, language and acting, with educational content distributed over 5 years. Both training courses conclude with the federally recognized Matura. The school comprises approx. 190 learners and around 30 teachers. Because the school is small, the teachers can support the learners individually. Learning high levels of independence and taking on responsibility are the focus here from the very beginning. The teachers in the Gymnasium Plus also sometimes have a coaching function.

The "a" in the job title stands for "alle" (all). The Canton of Luzern stands for diversity and variety.

The Gymnasium Plus is a competence center for talent promotion at the secondary level II and offers dedicated teachers an inspiring environment. Inspire young people regarding economic and legal connections and promote their independent thinking. From the 2027/28 school year, there is also the possibility of long-term employment.

Your tasks

• You design varied and practical lessons in economics and law in the basic and major subjects.
• As part of our learning coaching program, you accompany and advise the learners individually and support them in their personal development.
• Independent learning is specifically accompanied by you, by providing impulses and helping the students to develop their strengths.
• Participation in theme weeks and interdisciplinary level accents takes place in close cooperation with the team, where creative ideas and innovative concepts are required.
• You accompany and supervise learners in the preparation of their Matura theses.

Your profile

• You have a university Master's degree in economics and law as well as the corresponding teaching diploma or will complete this soon.
• Your teaching combines analog and digital learning. Knowledge of our learning management systems (LMS Moodle) is an advantage; alternatively, you bring the openness to actively use this in lessons and for independent learning with the support of our pedagogical IT coordinator.
• An appreciative manner with young people as well as strong pedagogical commitment characterize you.
• Openness to new things and the willingness to continuously develop your teaching round off your profile.
