The five regional youth prosecutor's offices investigate and assess offenses committed by adolescents between ten and eighteen years of age. They conduct criminal investigations and are responsible for the execution of juvenile criminal law protective measures and penalties.

For the Jugendanwaltschaft Winterthur, we are looking for an open-minded, flexible, analytically thinking Youth Prosecutor 80% starting January 1, 2027, or by arrangement.

These tasks await you: ###

• You conduct and complete criminal investigations against adolescents, draft orders to discontinue proceedings as well as orders of non-prosecution, and represent the prosecution before the juvenile court.
• You exercise single-judge functions within the framework of criminal proceedings (issuing summary penalty orders).
• In cooperation with social workers, you clarify the need for measures and execute juvenile criminal law judgments and decisions, including protective measures.
• You are prepared to perform regular on-call duty (including night and weekend).

What distinguishes you: ###

• You have a completed Master's degree in law and, ideally, have obtained a lawyer's patent.
• You have many years of experience in criminal justice as well as sound knowledge in the field of juvenile criminal law.
• Your experience in pedagogy and youth welfare (an advantage) and your broad life experience allow you to deal with adolescents in a confident and professional manner.
• Your strengths include your resilience and decision-making ability, your assertiveness, and a human-oriented manner.
• Thanks to your strong communication skills, you can represent your opinion clearly, but also integrate well into an interdisciplinary team.
• You are characterized by flexibility, are willing to learn, resilient, and digitally savvy.
