As part of the development of support for young adults with autism spectrum disorder, La Castalie in Monthey is hiring immediately or by agreement, a

socio-educational assistant 50%

Main missions:

• Ensure the support of young adults presenting an intellectual deficiency and autism spectrum disorder within an educational and interdisciplinary team
• Participate in basic care as well as in the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of individualized programs
• Encourage and support beneficiaries in the development of their skills as well as in the strengthening of their social participation
• Participate within the living group in various administrative and maintenance tasks, as well as in the many development projects of our institution

Job essentials:

• CFC socio-educational assistant or training deemed equivalent
• Experience and knowledge of autism spectrum disorders would be an asset, but the motivation to learn is essential
• Empathy for people in situations of disability and living with an intellectual deficiency
• Communication skills, ability to listen, and interdisciplinary spirit
• Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours, including during weekends
