Who are we?

The Eidgenössische Hochschule für Berufsbildung EHB is the Swiss expertise organization for vocational education and training. We train and further educate vocational education and training professionals, research vocational education and training, further develop professions, and support international vocational education and training cooperation. Our locations are in Zollikofen near Bern (headquarters), Lausanne and Lugano, with external locations in Olten and Zürich.

Your area of responsibility

• Teaching:
• Conception and implementation of courses primarily in the following subject areas: Quantitative methods of educational research, digitalization and artificial intelligence in (vocational) education, Critical Data Literacy
• Supporting students in the blended learning format and in self-study, as well as in the creation of scientific papers and practical transfer works (e.g., observations, internships, projects)
• Participation in the further development of the degree program
• The courses take place during the semester periods on Fridays and occasionally on Saturdays
• Research and development:
• Conception, acquisition of third-party funds, and implementation of research projects in the subject areas of adult education, learning at the workplace, digitalization and artificial intelligence in close cooperation with the team
• Writing scientific publications and presenting research results at scientific congresses in German and English
• Knowledge transfer, in particular through presentations for professionals from (vocational) education, practice-oriented publications, and media contributions
• Professional support of junior researchers in the research field

Your profile

• Experience in educational research with references to digitalization and digital teaching and learning
• Preferably a doctorate in educational science, psychology, or a related discipline
• Knowledge within the areas of vocational and adult education as well as lifelong learning
• Good higher education didactic competencies and teaching experience at the university level
• Research experience as well as good methodological knowledge of empirical social research
• Good English and French skills
• Enjoyment of working in multidisciplinary teams
