The SIS Swiss International School Schönenwerd is a small, international school community with around 90 students between Aarau and Olten. We are looking for a highly motivated teacher who cares about children's learning and is interested in how education can evolve. The position is becoming vacant because our current teacher will be moving and leaving the school in February 2027. They will be available for a handover so that the new teacher can get to know the class, its routines, and the current level of learning.

Your tasks

• As a class teacher, you will design engaging German lessons, oriented towards the Swiss curriculum as well as the pedagogical approach of SIS.
• You promote the academic and personal development of the students and provide them with clear, constructive feedback.
• You communicate with parents about the children's learning progress and well-being.
• You actively participate in school life and the further development of the school.

Your profile

• You possess a recognized teaching diploma for the primary level and practical teaching experience.
• You work with commitment, reliability, and high motivation.
• You consistently align your teaching with clear learning objectives and use creative approaches.
• You reflect on your work and are interested in current developments and the future of education.
• You have German language skills at a native level and good English skills.
• You enjoy working in an international, bilingual school environment and value teamwork.
• Teaching experience abroad or a longer stay abroad is an advantage.
