You will deal with diverse tax law matters. You are a competent and courteous contact person for our tax customers, their representatives, authorities, and offices.

Your background

• Completed commercial training as well as initial professional experience - ideally in a tax environment
• Reliable, independent personality with a strong understanding of numbers
• Service-oriented, a team player and resilient
• Clear and target-group-oriented communication with negotiation skills, both orally and in writing
• You combine professional competence with enjoyment in dealing with people and a secure sense for numbers

The cantonal tax administration implements federal and cantonal tax laws. Its employees check tax returns and assess natural as well as legal persons. The tax administration collects state and direct federal tax as well as, on a commission basis, the municipal tax. The assessment and collection of real estate transfer taxes, real estate capital gains taxes, and inheritance and gift taxes, as well as the processing of withholding taxes, are also part of its area of responsibility. In addition, it manages the certificates of loss of the cantonal offices, the law enforcement authorities, and the courts. It ensures uniform assessment practice in Baselbiet, supervises and supports the municipal tax offices. It promotes the tax climate in the Canton of Basel-Landschaft through high and competent readiness to provide information, a contemporary infrastructure, and efficient processes.
