Sennhütte Zug – Psychotherapy that changes life worlds

Sennhütte is a specialist institution for addiction therapy on the Zugerberg. We accompany people with addictive disorders on their path toward as self-determined a life as possible. In doing so, we combine psychotherapeutic treatment with socio-psychiatric and socio-therapeutic thinking and include the entire life situation of our clients in the treatment.

Due to a retirement and a professional reorientation into self-employment, we are looking for two new colleagues as

Psychotherapist / Psychologist 40–80 %

to strengthen our therapeutic team starting 01. December 2026 or by arrangement.

The workloads can be individually agreed upon within 40–80 %. For one of the two positions, there is also the perspective of taking over the professional and personnel management of the psychotherapy team at a later date. Leadership experience is an advantage for this, but not a requirement – what matters is interest and joy in taking on responsibility and developing the therapeutic field together with us.

Do you want to accompany people with addictive disorders psychotherapeutically and include their entire life situation in the process? Do you enjoy working interdisciplinary, want to set your own professional focuses, and actively help shape our therapeutic offering?

Your task

• You conduct individual psychotherapeutic sessions and design therapeutic group offerings. You take over case management for individual clients and contribute your therapeutic professional perspective to case discussions, status assessments, and interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• You work closely with specialists from psychotherapy, social pedagogy, social work, and work pedagogy. In doing so, you accompany clients in developing psychological stability, abstinence, and relapse prevention, as well as in developing sustainable perspectives in the areas of living, work, relationships, and social integration.
• You contribute your professional ideas and focuses and have the opportunity to actively further develop our psychotherapeutic offering.
• You participate in the further development of interdisciplinary treatment and our therapeutic offerings.

What you bring with you

• A university degree in psychology as well as completed or advanced further training in psychotherapy
• Joy and interest in psychotherapeutic work with people with addictive disorders and complex psychosocial stressors
• A resource-oriented, clear, and pragmatic attitude as well as joy in interdisciplinary cooperation
• Preferably a cognitive-behavioral therapy orientation
• Experience with or interest in DBT, skills training, and emotion regulation
• Knowledge in evidence-based and trauma-sensitive handling of trauma-related disorders
• Interest in mindfulness-based and body-oriented approaches

Perspective Team Leadership

There is the possibility of taking over the professional and personnel management of the psychotherapy team at a later date.

For this, we additionally desire interest in leadership and development tasks, joy in professionally accompanying a small therapeutic team, and developing psychotherapy within the Sennhütte together with the management. Leadership experience is an advantage, but not a requirement.
