The Verband öffentlicher Verkehr (VöV) is the national umbrella organization of the public transport companies of all sectors (regional passenger transport, local transport, tourist transport, freight transport). At the federal level, the VöV represents the interests of the transport companies towards politics, authorities, and third parties and promotes a customer-oriented overall system of public transport in Switzerland. In addition, the VöV is the provider of various basic, initial, and continuing education programs and the Regelwerk Technik Eisenbahn (RTE). We work closely with the industry organization Alliance SwissPass.

As a gifted lawyer or jurist, you are knowledgeable in the legal areas surrounding public passenger transport or bring the motivation and versatile interest to work yourself deeply into this field. Support our small team as

Lawyer / Jurist (60% - 80%)

in the areas of general contract law, passenger transport law, labor law and corporate law, procurement law, data protection law as well as in education law. Start date per 1. January 2027 or by arrangement.

Your tasks

You carry out legal clarifications in the legal areas listed above, both for our employees and member companies as well as for cross-association committees. A significant area of responsibility is the activity for the Ombudsstelle öffentlicher Verkehr. Furthermore, you represent the interests of VöV and Alliance SwissPass in working and project groups as well as towards various actors at the national level (authorities, private parties, and others).

Your profile

• You have a degree in law (MLaw) as well as, advantageously, initial professional experience in a legal environment.
• You have an interest in mobility issues and association politics.
• Your native language is German, French, or Italian. You have very good oral and written German skills (level C2) as well as good oral and written French skills (at least level B2).
• You are characterized by discretion as well as a stylistically confident oral and written manner of expression.
• Interacting with people gives you pleasure and a pronounced customer orientation is important to you. Your high capacity for argumentation, initiative, and decisiveness round off your profile.
