Ostermundigen, with around 19’000 inhabitants, is one of the largest municipalities in the Canton of Bern.

The Social Department is divided into the areas of social assistance, adult and child protection, specialist services, as well as generations and neighborhood work. The latter includes the Info Netz Generationen office. For this, we are looking for a

Social Work Professional 60+ Pilot Project überBrücken 50-60%

starting from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, fixed-term for three years.

Time for a professional change?

• You will set up the advisory center «überBrücken» as part of the pilot project
• You will carry out preventive calls and home visits following tips from organizations from the Ostermundigen social network
• You will advise, support, and accompany people in challenging life transitions and during critical life events, with a focus on older persons
• You will inform and sensitize specialist and key persons for early detection and organize training sessions in the environment of the Ostermundigen Social Network
• You will work closely with the specialist areas of adult protection and outreach social work

• Do you have a university degree in Social Work or a comparable discipline?
• Do you encounter people in difficult life situations with professional empathy?
• Do you have experience in social counseling and elderly work and ideally know your way around the official context and economic social assistance?
