The education and integration program «LernLokal» offers various services in the field of education and integration.

Our eight Flickstuben in the Canton of Zürich offer migrant women the opportunity to acquire specialist knowledge in sewing, to come into contact with the population, and to obtain an initial reference for job searching. The offer thus creates important foundations for the social and economic integration of women with a migration background.

The Info-Tische are low-threshold contact points for newcomers, where they receive multilingual initial information and find support in orienting themselves in the new environment.

For the offers «Flickstuben» and «Info-Tische», we are looking for a Project Employee (60%) as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.

Your Tasks

Flickstuben

• Operative coordination and support of the eight Flickstuben
• Recruitment, introduction, and support of the approximately 35 volunteers who carry out the Flickstuben on-site
• Ensuring the quality and further development of the offer
• Networking with municipalities, parishes, as well as social and specialist centers
• Project documentation and reporting
• Collaboration in fundraising
• Public relations and communication
• Administrative tasks

Info-Tische

• Coordination and implementation of the Info-Tische
• Provision and mediation of multilingual initial information for newcomers

The focus of the tasks lies with the Flickstuben. The approximate effort for the Info-Tische is around half a day per week.

Our Requirements

• University degree in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, or a comparable field of study
• Sound knowledge of the social service landscape in the Canton of Zürich and in the migration sector
• Experience in working with and supporting volunteers
• Strong flair for planning, organization, and coordination
• Intercultural competence, high social competence, and enjoyment in working with people of different origins
• Other languages as well as knowledge in sewing and mending are an advantage
• Driving license category B and willingness to work from Tuesday to Thursday

Work location is Zürich.
Start of work: 01.01.2027 or by arrangement.
