Head of the School and Extracurricular Sport Sector

The Ville de Fribourg is advertising a position for a Head of the school and extracurricular sport sector at 80% at the Service de l'enfance, des écoles et de la cohésion sociale. Your missions * Ensure the planning, organization, and management of school and extracurricular sport in the Ville de Fribourg, in compliance with legal bases, available resources, and the needs of educational establishments * Guarantee a coherent, accessible, and high-quality sports offering in line with the childhood and youth strategy and develop sporting activities intended for students in classes 1 to 8H * Plan physical education schedules and coordinate the distribution and reservation of sports infrastructures while ensuring coordination with School Directorates * Supervise a team of about twenty physical and sports education teachers and lead team projects * Define pedagogical orientations and ensure a role as a reference for the teaching staff as well as for the physical and sports education teachers * Ensure close and transversal collaboration with other sectors of the service, communal services, School Directorates, and external partners, in order to guarantee the coherence of actions carried out for children and young people. Your profile * Bachelor in sports science, teaching option or a title deemed equivalent, possibly supplemented by a master's in a related field * Proven experience with children and adolescents in the field of sports teaching * Experience in personnel management * High sense of responsibility, strategic thinking and action, customer orientation * Ability to evolve in a multidisciplinary environment and to perceive the stakes for all stakeholders * Excellent organizational, relational, and communication skills * Mastery of the French or German language and excellent knowledge of the other language.
