The administrative district of Emmental is located in the heart of the Canton of Bern. The municipalities are diverse and range from smaller rural places to lively tourist locations. As a result, varied tasks in the field of construction await you.

Your tasks

• Processing of building applications incl. formal and substantive examination
• Decision on the obligation to obtain a building permit and jurisdiction
• Drafting of procedural-leading orders and overall construction decisions
• Planning and preparation of settlement and instruction negotiations, inspections, as well as clarification meetings

Your profile

• Basic vocational training with a federal certificate of capacity EFZ
• Diploma as Bernese Building Administrator or further training as a Clerk in building permit procedures or comparable training
• Professional experience in a comparable function related to construction
• Reliable, independent and expeditious way of working

The Regierungsstatthalteramt Emmental is a decentralized administrative unit of the Canton of Bern and provides numerous services for the population and the 39 municipalities of the administrative district. It assesses complaints against orders and decisions of municipal authorities, issues permits in the areas of construction and land law as well as hospitality, and is the cantonal supervisory authority over the public-law corporations in the administrative district.
