St. Gallen is an institution for children and parents. We offer temporary protection.

With us, 15 families with children find possibilities for accompanied or supervised housing. The priorities are the observation and promotion of the child's well-being, support in crisis situations and the stabilization of the family system. Our clientele includes women victims of violence as well as parents suffering from mental disorders, cognitive impairments or other psychosocial difficulties.

The rate of 20-30% is particularly suitable for professionals looking for a flexible part-time job and who like to professionally accompany parents and children even in difficult situations. ###

What you can accomplish: ###

• Autonomous socio-educational support and supervision of parents and children
• Individual support of parents in educational questions and daily management
• Adapted supervision of children during the day and night, particularly in case of parental overload
• Responsibility for approximately 4 weekend services per month in morning, intermediate and evening shifts
• Responsibility for night care services from 19:30 to approximately 07:45. You sleep on-site to intervene if necessary (approximately 4 times per month)
• Responsibility for household tasks as well as co-responsibility for respecting our quality standards
• Maintenance of necessary documentation and ensuring a continuous flow of information with the day team

What you bring: ###

• Completed training in social pedagogy or a related field
• Professional experience in the socio-educational field, ideally with families and children, particularly in the field of early childhood
• Joy of accompanying children and parents in a resource-oriented, respectful and humorous manner
• You remain calm and maintain an overview even in difficult situations. You act in a professional and solution-oriented manner and are happy to assume responsibility autonomously
• Stress resistance, flexibility and situation-adapted action
• Good communication and cooperation skills
• Availability for replacements during the week
