Uster, the third largest city in the Canton of Zürich, is a dynamically growing city in the Greater Zürich area with around 38,000 inhabitants and is known as an innovative regional center.

The Finance Department is one of seven departments of the city administration. It comprises the two business areas of Finance and Real Estate and employs around 140 employees.

The Real Estate business area is looking for an implementation-strong and proactive person as

Construction Project Manager (female) or Construction Project Manager (male) 80 - 90%
starting 1 November 2026 or by arrangement

Your main tasks

• Responsible for the client-side project management of the municipal real estate portfolio
• Implementation of construction projects with the target "Net Zero by 2040" in conjunction with photovoltaic systems
• Holistic project management from planning to execution and commissioning
• Preparation of decision-making bases for the City Council and Municipal Council as well as the Primary School Board
• Financial and budget responsibility including controlling of the assigned construction projects
• Evaluation, coordination and leadership of external specialists and planners
• Proactive cooperation with all internal and external project participants such as users, planners, authorities, offices and third parties

What you bring with you

• (Technical) university degree as an Architect ETH or FH
• Further education or proven specialist knowledge with experience in project management
• Experience as a client representative in the public sector or for an institutional client is an advantage
• Winning and team-oriented personality with a high degree of initiative and assertiveness
• Proficiency in written and oral expression as well as negotiation skills
