Stars and Stripes St. Gallen is a popular restaurant in the old town of St. Gallen, just a few minutes' walk from the train station and in the immediate vicinity of the historic Cathedral. Our restaurant offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere in which we serve our guests a wide selection of American specialties. From juicy steaks to delicious burgers to spicy dishes from the southern USA – everyone will find something to their taste here. Our Sunday brunch with delicious pancakes, spare ribs, and chicken wings is another highlight that is much appreciated by our guests.
Our kitchen is open daily and offers warm meals throughout, so that our guests can enjoy their favorite dishes at any time.

Immediately or by arrangement, we are looking for a kitchen assistant 60 - 80% to strengthen our dynamic and motivated team.

Your tasks:

• Supporting the kitchen team in the preparation of food
• Preparation of ingredients (cutting, washing, etc.)
• Assistance with the plating of dishes
• Dishwashing and cleaning of kitchen utensils
• Compliance with hygiene and quality standards
• General tidying and cleaning work in the kitchen
• Support for a smooth workflow in the kitchen

What we expect from you:

• Experience in the kitchen is mandatory
• Motivation and commitment
• German language skills at least B1 level
• Clean and structured way of working
• Team spirit and reliability
• Resilience even in hectic situations
• Flexibility to work mainly in the evenings and on weekends
