Technical Project Manager

With around 600 employees in 146 professions and over 300 events per year, the Opernhaus Zürich is one of the most productive cultural venues in Europe. We are looking for a Technical Project Manager 60 - 80 % (w/m/d) starting from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement. With us, you do not plan serial products. Every stage set is a prototype. What looks spectacular on paper must be able to be built, moved, transported, operated safely -- and played reliably every evening. That is exactly where you come into play. You - accompany stage sets from the first idea to the premiere, - translate artistic designs into technical solutions, - develop constructive solutions in steel, wood and mechanics, - create construction plans in CAD, - obtain offers, award contracts and organize transports, - coordinate workshops and external partners in close cooperation with the set design management, - plan rehearsal sets and accompany rehearsals until the premiere, - undertake technical planning for special events of the Opernhaus. You bring with you: You are an engineer in theater and event technology (FH/BA) or bring comparable experience. You are familiar with CAD and constructions in steel and wood construction and have basic [skills]... but above all, you like to think in solutions. You can speak just as well with artists as with colleagues from the workshops and stage technology. You keep an eye on deadlines and are interested in projects where the answer is not yet fixed at the beginning.
