Who we are:

At the PTA-Wohnheim, we accompany adults with intellectual or multiple disabilities. In our residential groups, we create a home that promotes participation, self-determination, and joy of life. In doing so, we orient ourselves towards the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and our agogic concept.

The residential group: In our lively WG3, five people with different needs and resources live. Some of the accompanied persons show challenging behaviors that require professionally sound, clear, and reliable support.

Daily life in WG3 is varied and requires presence, flexibility, structure, and the ability to act calmly and professionally even in demanding situations. Together with an experienced team, you design an environment that enables security, development, self-determination, and sustainable relationships.

Your field of activity:

• You lead and develop your team and promote independent and professional action.
• You take on technical, personnel, and organizational responsibility for the residential group.
• You support your team in the professional accompaniment of people with challenging behavior and ensure a common agogic attitude based on our concepts and our mission statement.
• You ensure that the individual needs and resources of the accompanied persons are at the center of the support and that key person work is implemented professionally.
• You ensure a structured and reliable daily routine as well as duty and holiday planning and lead the team meetings.
• You conduct employee appraisals and accompany the professional and personal development of your employees.
• You work professionally with relatives, legal representatives, and specialist agencies.
• You ensure that concepts, regulations, and processes are implemented in everyday life and help shape their further development.
• You work closely with the Agogik department management, the other group leaders, and the various departments of the PTA.
• You promote participation and inclusion and actively contribute to the further development of our services.

What you bring with you:

• Completed training in Social Pedagogy HF or FH
• Experience in accompanying people with challenging behavior
• Practical and ideally leadership experience in the inpatient socio-pedagogical field
• Further training in the field of leadership or the willingness to complete such
• A clear, appreciative, and reflective leadership attitude
• The ability to convey orientation and security even in demanding situations
• Good administrative and organizational skills
• High competence in working with specialist agencies and personal support systems
• You communicate confidently in German or French and can also communicate well in the respective other language.
• Willingness to work irregular shifts without night, on-call, or split shifts
