Temporary Payroll Specialist / Wage Accounting 40–60 %

To provide temporary support to our personnel services, we are looking for an experienced specialist in the field of payroll and wage accounting, starting immediately.

Your main tasks:
– Support in the independent execution and ensuring of the monthly wage processing for the city administration and other mandates with Abacus
– Processing, settlement and control of social insurances
– Processing of withholding tax topics in connection with wage processing
– Control and maintenance of the personnel and wage data relevant for wage processing in Abacus
– Support with ongoing wage-specific clarifications and with periodic work in payroll

Your profile:
– Commercial basic training or comparable training
– Several years of practical experience in payroll, wage accounting, social insurances
– Good knowledge of Swiss social insurances
– Subject-specific further training in the field of HR, payroll or social insurances is an advantage
– Experience with Abacus
– Very exact, reliable and independent way of working
– Very good German language skills in speaking and writing
– Discreet and responsible handling of confidential personnel data
– Quick comprehension and willingness to familiarize yourself with existing processes on short notice

Framework conditions:
– Workload: 40–60 %
– Start of position: immediately or by arrangement
– Assignment: temporary until 23. October 2026
– Place of work: Gossau SG
