The Heilpädagogisches Zentrum Hohenrain is a competence center for the training, promotion, and care of around 200 children and adolescents in the areas of cognitive development and language development in teaching, social pedagogy, and therapy from the basic level up to the age of 18 years. Around 300 employees from various professions in the areas of teaching, social pedagogy, therapy, care, housekeeping, technical services, and administration contribute to this.

At the Heilpädagogisches Zentrum Hohenrain, you will accompany children and adolescents with cognitive impairments on their individual developmental paths. Together with a committed, interdisciplinary team, you will shape an environment in which young people develop confidence in themselves and are supported in their development in the best possible way.

Your tasks

• You accompany the children and adolescents through their everyday lives and promote their independence according to their individual abilities.
• As a reliable reference person, you provide them with orientation and security - even in challenging situations.
• Together with your team, you shape a varied and promoting everyday life and contribute your observations to the pedagogical work.
• If necessary, you support the children and adolescents with personal care and daily hygiene.
• In exchange with parents and other reference persons, you maintain an open and appreciative cooperation. You share relevant observations and contribute to ensuring that the children and adolescents are accompanied in the best possible way.

Your profile

• You have completed training as a Fachperson Betreuung EFZ.
• You enjoy accompanying children and adolescents with cognitive impairments and want to support them in their development.
• You respond to the individual communication possibilities of the children and adolescents and also meet challenging behavior with patience and a solution-oriented attitude.
• Ideally, you bring experience in a social pedagogical environment.
• With your expertise, your composure, and your humor, you strengthen team cohesion and contribute to positive cooperation.
