Die Opferhilfe SG-AR-AI is a joint offering of the cantons St.Gallen, Appenzell Ausserrhoden and Appenzell Innerrhoden. The sponsoring body is the Stiftung Opferhilfe, in whose Board of Trustees the three cantons are represented.

Our offering is aimed at people affected by violence within the meaning of the Federal Act on Aid to Victims of Crimes (OHG).

The team of Opferhilfe SG-AR-AI consists of the management as well as the areas of Counseling, Financial Aid and Administration.

To complement our counseling team, we are looking for a

Specialist Victim Support Counseling (m/f/d) ##

starting February 1, 2027 or by arrangement

Workload: 80%

What to expect

Psychosocial and legal counseling for people affected by violence, relatives and professionals

Networking and cooperation with authorities and specialist agencies

Conducting further training

Public relations

Organizational and administrative activities

Participation in the conceptual design and further development of the counseling offering

What distinguishes you

Degree in Social Work FH or BSc or federal university degree in law (lic. iur. or MLaw)

Several years of psychosocial counseling experience

Knowledge of victim support, social security, family and criminal law and interest in working further into these legal areas

You are a committed, responsible and resilient personality and can put your expertise at the service of our clientele without losing sight of your own limits.

Networked, solution- and resource-oriented thinking and acting

You quickly grasp complex and challenging life situations and can steer the counseling process in a targeted and empathetic manner.

You have very good oral and written expression

Sensitivity to the social dimensions of violence
