What you can contribute

• Perform (alternating with other AMTs) all medico-technical examinations (ECG, pulmonary function test, audiometry, visual acuity, blood pressure, blood sampling, vaccination)
• Assume responsibility for the maintenance and proper functioning of medical devices
• Execute administrative tasks
• Act as the interlocutor for personnel in long service and in CR regarding questions related to examinations, computer data entry, etc.
• Assist the physician as needed

The medical examination of conscripts is of great importance during recruitment. As a medico-technical assistant (AMT), you will assume responsibilities in a varied and exciting environment.

The Instruction Command (cdmt Instr) is responsible for instruction within the Swiss Army -- from recruitment to the training of cadres for the militia and career soldiers, including general basic instruction. The cdmt Instr includes Higher Leadership Training, Army Personnel, five application trainings, the Army Training Centre as well as the specialized service Women in the Army and diversity. One third of the approximately 2350 employees practice civilian professions in scientific, technical, medical, psychological, administrative or sporting fields and contribute, along with career soldiers, to the success of the army.

The Swiss Army employs more than 9000 female and male employees in four military professions and approximately 200 civilian professions, across 110 sites throughout Switzerland. It also ensures succession by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
