As an alternative to Gymnasium and apprenticeship, the maturity schools serve as the vocational and academic worlds of tomorrow, which the Fach- und Wirtschaftsmittelschulzentrum Luzern (FMZ) offers in the form of school-oriented basic vocational training. These include the Wirtschaftsmittelschule, the Informatikmittelschule, the Fachklasse Grafik, the Fachmittelschule, the Gesundheitsmittelschule, as well as the Berufsmittelschule Gesundheit & Soziales. The approximately 800 learners attend classes at the school locations Hirschengraben and Krienbach in Luzern as well as Viscosistadt in Emmenbrücke.

Do you want to inspire young adults for music? At the Fach- und Wirtschaftsmittelschulzentrum (FMZ), we accompany young adults on their way to the Berufsmaturität and Fachmaturität. Bring your musical passion to us and strengthen our team.

Your tasks

• You teach the subject Music in Fachmittelschule and Fachmaturität classes as well as in Wirtschaftsmittelschule classes.
• With exciting teaching units, you convey the theoretical and practical foundations of music to our learners.
• You supervise the learners during final and project works and specifically promote the development of their skills.
• You are involved in the department, at conferences, and at school events and contribute to a positive school culture.

Your profile

• You have a Master's degree in Schulmusik II (MA Music Pedagogy Schulmusik II) or an equivalent qualification for Sekundarstufe II.
• You have already taught at the Sekundarstufe II level and know how to inspire young adults for music.
• You teach piano and singing at a high level and can lead a choir with adolescents; an additional qualification in singing pedagogy is a plus.
• Your musical repertoire is versatile: you feel at home in various music styles from classical to pop to jazz and bring this variety into your teaching.
• Your open pedagogical attitude and strong ability to work in a team characterize you, through which you enrich everyday school life.
