Civil Protection Commander

The ZSO Oberthurgau is responsible for civil protection in the following municipalities:
Amriswil, Arbon, Dozwil, Egnach, Hefenhofen, Horn, Kesswil, Roggwil, Romanshorn, Salmsach, Sommeri, Uttwil

Due to a reorientation of the commander, the ZSO Oberthurgau is looking, as of 01.12.2026 or by arrangement, for a committed and competent personality as

Your tasks

• Leading the Zivilschutzorganisation Oberthurgau and thus around 250 AdZS (training and deployment)
• Ensuring material and personnel readiness
• Implementation of the legal mandate and the cantonal and federal specifications
• Planning and conducting training and refresher courses
• Advisory and cooperation with the political authorities

Your profile

• completed commander training in civil protection or higher officer position in the military or a partner organization of civil protection, as well as the willingness to complete the commander training in civil protection
• proactive personality with an independent way of working
• organizational and motivational talent
• leadership qualities with assertiveness
• willingness to perform irregular and unplanned work assignments
• good IT skills
• empathetic manners as well as a friendly, decisive appearance
• impeccable reputation
