Counting nearly 1,500 employees, the Département de réadaptation et gériatrie (DRG) constitutes a medical hub centered on the elderly person and is spread across 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour and Joli-Mont. It manages acute situations, notably thanks to the emergencies of the Hôpital des Trois-Chêne, specific age-related problems, medical rehabilitation and palliative medicine.

The department is located on 5 different sites that welcome people whose state of health requires hospitalization for geriatric care or rehabilitation treatments as well as palliative care.

Job Description ##

A proactive individual, do you wish to contribute to the projects of a large institution such as the HUG and do you identify with our institutional values?

As a physiotherapist, you develop, propose, apply and evaluate the results of physiotherapy treatments in accordance with the diagnosis and medical prescription for the female and male patients entrusted to you. In this capacity, you participate in colloquiums, discussions regarding patient situations and interprofessional coordination meetings.

You document patient files daily (treatments performed and clinical information) and enter the services provided, showing conciseness in your information transmissions.

Thanks to your collective spirit, you know how to evolve within a multidisciplinary team composed of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses and nursing staff, and doctors, and you provide the guarantee of efficient services. In this context, you are able to work autonomously by relying on your sense of organization and your spirit of initiative.

You have an excellent sense of communication and demonstrate empathy as well as tact with internal teams and female and male patients.

Your function leads you to participate in the multidisciplinary projects of your department and collaborate in the training of students and female and male health professionals.

Qualifications ##

You hold a Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy or a physiotherapy diploma recognized and registered by the Swiss Red Cross.

As the position involves mobility, experience acquired in geriatric, musculoskeletal rehabilitation and palliative care would be an asset.

For non-French speaking female and male candidates, a C1 level of French is required.

A perfect mastery of common IT tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word,) is necessary to successfully carry out this mission. Mastery of HUG applications is a plus.
