The Relief Department of SRK Kanton Bern supports people in every phase of life. The Care area includes the services of visiting and accompaniment service, relief for relatives and Home Care. These offers serve the care and accompaniment of people as well as the relief of their relatives. The services are provided by both volunteers and employed staff.

For the Oberaargau region with the main place of work in Burgdorf, we are looking for a motivated and independent Nursing Specialist HF as

Nursing Specialist HF as Specialist in Care, 50-70%

starting 16 November 2026 or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• You will lead the visiting and accompaniment service regionally and, with a workload of 70%, additionally manage the relief for relatives service organizationally and professionally.
• You are co-responsible for the further development of the service.
• You cover the telephone availability of the service on three to four mornings (until ).
• You carry out telephone situational assessments, advise requesters, and recruit and care for clients.
• You recruit, place, and accompany volunteers, organize volunteer meetings, and coordinate their assignments.
• You maintain the files of the clients and the volunteers.
• You carry out the monthly time tracking as well as periodic reporting and statistics.
• You work predominantly at the Burgdorf location and are on the move for talks at clients' locations in Oberaargau as well as for meetings with volunteers at the Langenthal location.
• You participate in cross-regional specialist and working groups and are engaged in public events as well as in networking work.

Your profile

• You have a degree as a Nursing Specialist HF and experience in elderly care.
• You bring a flair for volunteer work and/or corresponding experience.
• You have very good IT user skills and are experienced in handling various file management systems.
• You bring experience in administrative activities and strong organizational skills.
• You are characterized by strong communication competence and advisory experience.
• You know the support offers of the health and social system in the Oberaargau region.
• You enjoy working in a team, are independent, and think in networks.
• You show the willingness to engage with change processes, are flexible and resilient, and maintain an overview even in challenging situations.
• For this activity, having your own vehicle is an advantage.
