Social Workers 30 - 80 % for the relief pool

The city of Dietikon is the fifth largest municipality in Zurich and at the same time the district capital in Limmattal with over 28,000 inhabitants. The social department will newly establish a relief pool with permanently employed social workers. We are looking for employees who are not assigned to a specific team and work as needed in various offices of the social department in case management, primarily in social assistance and asylum welfare. Our work is oriented towards the principles of Positive Leadership and Empowerment.

Do you have a university degree of applied sciences in Social Work, experience in case management within the framework of social assistance, and are you looking for an exciting challenge? Then we are looking for exactly you.

Start date: immediately or by arrangement

Fixed-term: The positions will initially be filled for a maximum of two years as part of a pilot project.

Your tasks

• Advising and supporting social assistance recipients or asylum seekers
• Initiating social and professional integration measures
• Calculation, verification, and distribution of social assistance benefits
• Cooperation with authorities and specialist agencies
• Participation in projects possible

Your profile

• Completed training in Social Work FH
• Sound knowledge in the field of social assistance and social insurance law (or interest and willingness to familiarize yourself with the field of work)
• Interest in transcultural social work (an advantage)
• Flexibility and commitment: Resilient and adaptable
• Technical affinity: Good PC skills, experience with Tutoris an advantage
• Teamwork and communication: Humor and openness
