To replace a permanent teacher during a semester-long leave, we are advertising a position for a special education teacher (f/m) (68 % / 19 periods).

You will work in a special education class for cycle 3, which is assigned to you in accordance with the Alter École mission. This class is located in the Alter École premises in Tavannes and accommodates between 6 and 8 students.

The class is managed by a duo of teachers (each with half-class management), supported by a school assistant.

You will work on Wednesday mornings, Thursdays, and Fridays.

In collaboration with the pedagogical team, you will plan and prepare your lessons by referring to the PER and the individualized project of each student. You will create favorable learning conditions adapted to our students. You will encourage and supervise interactions between students and promote their autonomy.

Profile sought

• Master's in special education or curative pedagogy
• or Teaching diploma with experience in the special education field
• or HES Bachelor's in social education with experience in special education
• Experience in supporting students with special needs
• Flexibility regarding the students being supported
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary and institutional teams

Start date: 1 February 2027

Mandate duration: fixed-term, until 2 July 2027
