Schule Im Birch is looking for reinforcement as of 19 October 2026.

Tasks ##

• Workload: approx. 65%, 18 weekly lessons
• Class: various secondary level classes

Main tasks:

• Planning, preparation, and implementation of lessons based on the curriculum
• Post-processing and evaluation of the lessons
• Advising students regarding individual learning and performance difficulties as well as highlighting support opportunities
• Collaboration within the faculty, with the school management, external specialist agencies, and the legal guardians

Profile ##

• Teaching diploma for secondary level, recognized in Switzerland
• CAS DaZ, or the willingness to complete it
• Enjoyment of heterogeneity and a multicultural working environment
• Motivation, flexibility, creativity, and resilience
• Trust in the personality, performance, and readiness to learn of adolescents
• Openness and enjoyment of collaboration within the pedagogical stage team

About us ##

We are a large school community in Zürich-Nord with 19 schools. We derive our pedagogical stance from the concept of New Authority and thus meet the daily challenges of everyday school life together and effectively.

Schule Im Birch has a modern infrastructure, is located in "Neu-Oerlikon" and is reachable within a 5-minute walk from the Oerlikon station. It comprises 14 primary classes, 5 kindergartens, and 4 after-school care centers (Horte). At the secondary school, teachers teach in the instructional sequences of Self-Organized Learning (SOL) in mixed-ability groups using team teaching.
