Socio-educational assistant, résidence Sarde, at 70%, 3-month CDM

• Integrate the people concerned into city life by highlighting their skills and resources, while respecting their rights and duties.
• Ensure personalized socio-educational support, acting in coherence with the institutional policy "Integration and Support".
• Maintain positive contacts with the people concerned that respond to the socio-educational values of the EPI.
• Accompany people in their daily lives and provide them with support adapted to their needs and resources.
• Participate in the implementation and evaluation, within a multidisciplinary educational team, of socio-educational activities.
• Facilitate socialization, cultural, leisure and/or work activities.
• Know how to react appropriately to difficult and/or complex situations.
• Ensure direct functional contacts and relationships with all sectors and various external partners.
• Accomplish the administrative tasks inherent to the position.
• A CFC as a socio-educational assistant or any other training deemed equivalent.
• A strong interest in the fields of psychic disability and/or intellectual deficiency and/or alcoholology as well as the desire to develop knowledge in these fields.
• Previous experience in a similar position and with this type of population is an asset.
• To demonstrate a spirit of service towards populations in situations of vulnerability.
• To demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and open-mindedness.
• To possess developed interpersonal skills, ease in communication and a pronounced taste for teamwork.
• To have scheduling flexibility.
• To master common office tools (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and specific professional tools available within the Etablissements.
• To master the French language.

The EPI are a key institution for inclusion in Genève, which accompanies people in situations of disability or integration, through housing, work and leisure. The EPI welcome approximately one third of adults in situations of disability in the canton - that is nearly 1’100 beneficiaries - and support more than 1’200 people each year in their integration process.

Within the EPI, the Socio-educational Services are responsible for accompanying people in situations of disability with intellectual development disorders and/or autism spectrum disorders and/or psychic disorders by offering them individualized occupational and development activities or home support.

More than 900 people are accompanied, in very varied contexts.

The Résidence Sarde primarily welcomes people presenting an intellectual deficiency, a hearing disability and/or other associated disorders.
