The State Chancellery is the staff office of the Government Council and supports it in the performance of its government and leadership tasks. It ensures the coordination of government business, provides central services for the cantonal administration, and ensures the connection to the Cantonal Council. It accompanies the digital transformation of the cantonal administration and supports digital projects and business processes, particularly in legal issues. For the Business Analysis and Digital Law department, we are looking for a Jurist Digital Law, 70-80% at the Solothurn location, starting on or after agreement.

Your responsibility

• As a specialist for digital law, you advise on questions of IT, data protection, and digitalization law and assess legal risks.
• You accompany digital projects legally at an early stage and derive concrete requirements for projects and business processes from them.
• You identify the need for legislation in connection with the digital transformation and process or lead corresponding legislative projects until they are ready for decision.
• You assess technological and regulatory developments legally, particularly in the areas of AI and Cloud, and derive the need for action from them.
• You build an administration-wide digital law network and promote professional exchange as well as the development of common legal standards, guidelines, and working aids.

Your profile

• Requirements are a completed university degree in law and in-depth knowledge of IT, data protection, and digitalization law.
• You have several years of professional experience in the legal support of digital projects, preferably in public administration or a comparable environment.
• Experience in the professional management or control of projects is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a good understanding of technical, organizational, and procedural contexts characterize you.
• An independent and solution-oriented way of working as well as strong communication and advisory competence round off your profile. Very good German and English skills are required.
