Accounting Clerk with succession perspective (50–60%)

We are looking for reinforcement for our finance team: We offer you a versatile role in day-to-day accounting with the clear perspective of taking on more responsibility in the medium term. Since our current position holder will retire in about five years, we are offering you a real succession perspective here.

What you will do

• Day-to-day accounting: Independent management of financial, accounts payable, and accounts receivable accounting.
• Debt collection & liquidity: Reliable execution of the collection process as well as controlling and reconciliation of liquid assets.
• Closings: Active preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Communication & correspondence: Telephone and written clarifications as well as correspondence with authorities, customers, and suppliers.
• Process optimization: Participation in the optimization of our processes in the finance area.

What you bring

• Sound basis: Commercial basic training or a comparable qualification in finance and accounting.
• Practical experience: Sound accounting experience, ideally in a trading or production company.
• IT proficiency: Confident handling of MS Office and common accounting software.
• Way of working & personality: Precise, independent, and structured way of working.
• Language: Proficient German language skills.
• Will to develop: Desire to develop yourself and perspectively take on overall responsibility in accounting.

What success in the first year means
After 12 months, you manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting completely independently — the current accountant no longer needs to follow up here. Day-to-day business runs reliably and you have established a solid basis to gradually take on more responsibility in accounting.
