Responsible socio-educational assistant at approx. 40 %

The Municipality of Montreux is advertising two positions as :

RESPONSIBLE SOCIO-EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT AT APPROX. 40 %

for the reception of children in a school environment (APEMS) within the social cohesion, families and youth directorate

Main tasks :

• Lead and manage the activity of socio-educational assistant aides, ensuring the quality and efficiency of services, by ensuring the smooth running of the structure
• Ensure the care of children during meals, leisure moments and the trips between the school and the midday reception premises
• Propose appropriate educational activities between the end of the meal and the return to school
• Manage the equipment and budget allocated for the operation of the structure
• Participate in the various meetings and colloquiums organized by the directorate
• Work in collaboration with families
• Respect the directives concerning the cleanliness of the premises (cleaning after meals, washing up, etc.)

Desired profile :

• Federal certificate of capacity as a socio-educational assistant or training deemed equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a collective childcare setting, ages 4 to 9
• Sense of responsibility, team spirit and collaboration
• Ease with children with special needs
• Experience in managing a small team
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate firmness
• Dynamism, creativity and initiative
• Good physical condition
• Ease with numbers
• Sense of public service
• Proficiency with MS Office IT tools

Special conditions :

• Extracts from the Swiss criminal record and the special criminal record to be provided upon engagement

Start of duty: one position on 1 October 2026 and one position on 1 November 2026.
