In order to complete its team, the City of Sion is recruiting for a position of

within the General Administration service.
Your missions
In this varied and cross-functional role, you will provide your legal expertise to the different services of the City and contribute to securing their activities and decisions. You will also intervene in procedures involving the City and assume a reference role regarding data protection. In this capacity, you will notably be required to:
advise and support municipal services on various legal issues and draft opinions, notes, and recommendations;
represent the interests of the City within the framework of administrative, civil, criminal, or arbitration procedures, in collaboration, where necessary, with external representatives;
prepare procedural acts and conduct conciliation hearings falling under municipal competence;
participate in the development and revision of regulations, directives, and other municipal texts, ensuring their legal compliance;
ensure the follow-up of cross-functional legal files involving several municipal services;
ensure compliance with data protection requirements and support services in their implementation;
sensitize and advise employees on best practices regarding data protection and contribute to the management of risks and incidents in this field;
ensure contact with the competent cantonal and federal authorities.
Your profile
have a master's degree in law;
have good knowledge of public law; experience in this field as well as in construction and real estate law constitutes an asset;
have knowledge in matters of data protection or be willing to undergo training in this field;
demonstrate excellent analytical, synthesis, and writing skills;
be comfortable in managing cross-functional files and enjoy collaborating with interlocutors of varied profiles;
demonstrate discretion, availability, flexibility, and a good sense of responsibility;
master standard IT tools;
have a good understanding of German, particularly for reading legal texts.
