Childcare Specialist Schule Gabler, 80 %

For our after-school care centers at Schule Gabler, we are looking for reinforcement as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.

Tasks ##

We are looking for an engaged and flexible personality to support our team. You will work from Monday to Friday in one or more of our five after-school care centers, where children of different age groups are cared for. In doing so, we attach great importance to teamwork and good cooperation with the employees. The exact working hours can be discussed in a personal interview with the Head of Care.

Your tasks include:

• Co-designing the school-based care as well as ensuring daily operations
• Accompanying and supporting the students in social and school matters, e.g., with homework
• Contact with parents
• Administrative and housekeeping work
• Participation in holiday care and on non-school days

Profile ##

• As a childcare specialist, you have a degree as a Fachfrau / Fachmann Betreuung (EFZ) / Kleinkindererzieher*in or an equivalent qualification
• In the case of a foreign diploma, Swiss recognition of the diploma is a mandatory requirement.
• Professional experience in the care of children in after-school care is an advantage
• Joy in active and close care of the children
• Teamwork skills and flexibility
• Strong communication skills in dealing with the childcare team, teachers, and facility management team
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing

Schulkreis Uto is one of 7 school districts in the city of Zürich and includes the city districts 2 and 3 with the quarters Leimbach, Wollishofen, Enge, Friesenberg, and Alt-Wiedikon.

Schule Gabler is located in the preferred quarter of Enge in the city of Zürich in the immediate vicinity of Zürichsee, Bahnhof Enge, and Rieterpark. Since the 25/26 school year, our school building has been operated as a day school. 13 primary school classes and 6 kindergartens are housed in the 150-year-old school building.
