About us:

The Sozialregion Olten provides financial assistance and social work support for persons who require economic social assistance or when a guardianship is established due to a need for protection. Statutory social work is carried out on the basis of the cantonal Social Assistance Act (Sozialhilfe) or on the basis of the Civil Code (Beistandschaften).

The values of Social Work form the basis for cooperation with clients. The specialist areas of Social Assistance and Child and Adult Protection benefit from administrative, legal, and social insurance law support through our internal specialist departments.

Your tasks:

• Statutory social work according to the cantonal Social Assistance Act (Sozialhilfe) or management of guardianships according to ZGB (Child and Adult Protection)
• Support of persons in vulnerable life situations and creation of methodical assistance planning
• Clarification of financial claims and benefits; calculation and payment of subsistence costs and other (needs-based) benefits
• Reporting to the responsible authority as well as professional case documentation
• Close cooperation with specialist departments, authorities, insurance companies, and other third parties

Your profile:

• Tertiary degree in Social Work or a related discipline / alternatively social insurance specialist with proven professional experience
• Self-organized way of working with conscious prioritization
• Knowledge of the social security system is an advantage
• Strong flair for numbers; high resilience and assertiveness; positive basic attitude
