Primarschule Zuzwil is a well-organized, manageable school with around 440 children at two locations. However, for us, what is decisive is not the size, but how we work together: reliably, uncomplicatably, and with a team that supports and appreciates each other in everyday life.

As a school social worker, you will work closely with students, teachers, parents, as well as the school management. You are an important contact person in everyday school life, provide support during challenges, and contribute to ensuring that children feel safe, accepted, and empowered in our school.

Due to the internal change of our previous school social worker, we are looking for a committed and responsible personality as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement as

Your area of responsibility

• Counseling and accompanying students from kindergarten to 6th grade with personal, social, and academic challenges
• Counseling and supporting teachers, parents, and legal guardians, as well as participating in progress meetings
• Early detection of stressors and accompaniment in crisis and conflict situations
• Planning and implementation of prevention offerings, class interventions, and projects
• Cooperation with authorities, specialist centers, and network partners
• Cooperation with the school social workers of Oberstufe Sproochbrugg and Primarschule Niederhelfenschwil
• Participation in the further development of school social work

What you bring with you

• Completed degree in Social Work (FH/HF) or comparable training
• Joy in working with children of kindergarten and primary school age
• Authentic, socially competent personality with an appreciative basic attitude
• Independent, solution-oriented, and structured way of working
• Resilience and joy in working with different stakeholders
• Ability to build relationships, empower people, and develop solutions together
