Job description:

In this role, you are responsible for the stable and reliable operation of the network and security infrastructure. You will work closely with the existing operations team and will specifically undertake the following activities:

• Processing of service, change, and incident processes according to ITIL
• Processing and documentation of tickets via ManageEngine ServiceDesk+
• Operation and administration of the existing network and security platforms
• Firewall management with FortiManager
• Operation of Cisco Nexus and NDFC
• Administration and operation of the campus network with Cisco Catalyst Center
• Operation and support of Cisco ISE
• Operation and troubleshooting of the wireless controller infrastructure
• Management and monitoring of network devices via the existing Network Management System (NMS)
• Creation, maintenance, and updating of operating manuals and technical documentation
• Support with malfunctions, changes, and general operational network topics

About the customer:

The position is initially intended as a temporary assignment from January to the end of March 2027 and arises as a replacement for an existing employee. Depending on the situation, there is an option for extension.

Framework conditions:

Start: January 2027

Duration of assignment: 6 months extension possible

Workload: 60% - 80%

Work location: Baden, on-site

Requirements:

For this task, we are looking for a reliable and independent personality with sound experience in operational network operations.

Ideally, you bring the following knowledge:

• Several years of experience in the area of Network Operations / Network Engineering
• Good practical knowledge in Cisco Enterprise Networking
• Experience with Cisco Nexus and NDFC
• Knowledge in Cisco Catalyst Center
• Experience with Cisco ISE
• Knowledge in the operation of Wireless Controllers
• Experience with Fortinet / FortiManager
• Experience with Network Monitoring or Network Management Systems
• Familiarity with ITIL-based service, change, and incident processes
• Experience with ticketing systems; knowledge in ManageEngine ServiceDesk+ is an advantage
• Structured and careful technical documentation

Personally, you convince through a reliable, pragmatic, and independent way of working and feel comfortable in an operational IT environment.

A personal security clearance (PSP) will be carried out for this assignment. A previously successfully completed PSP is an advantage. The willingness and possibility to successfully undergo the corresponding security clearance is required for this position.
