For our client, a company from the industrial sector, we are looking for an experienced and highly organized personality who will actively help shape procurement with entrepreneurial thinking, negotiation skills, and analytical abilities.

Buyer with experience (40–80%) – Permanent position (a)

In this versatile role, you will take on a central role between suppliers, internal specialist departments, and corporate planning. In doing so, you will combine day-to-day operational business with the long-term further development of procurement processes.

Your new challenge:

• Independent control and coordination of procurement activities
• Ensuring economic and timely supply of required materials and components
• Processing ordering processes as well as early recognition and resolution of supply bottlenecks
• Selection, assessment, and support of existing as well as potential business partners
• Development of economic purchasing solutions and identification of optimization opportunities
• Monitoring market and price developments to support sound procurement decisions
• Further development of purchasing structures and supplier-related strategies
• Preparation and interpretation of relevant company and procurement data
• Development of meaningful evaluations and overviews to support decision-making
• Cross-departmental cooperation to improve material flow and goods availability

What distinguishes you:

• Professional background in the commercial or technical field
• Sound practical experience in material procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
• Additional qualifications in procurement are welcome
• Strong understanding of business processes and technical contexts
• Proficient use of digital enterprise resource planning systems and MS Excel
• Knowledge of Power BI or other business intelligence applications is an additional advantage
• Enjoyment of analyzing numbers as well as developing data-based solutions
• Negotiation skills, assertiveness, and a good sense for business partnerships
• Forward-looking, structured, and independent way of working
• Strong communication and reliable personality with high self-motivation
