Job description ##

As a social worker at the Gare de l'École de l'Accueil site, you contribute to the psycho-social support of young people with a view to their integration into a vocational training project.

You support and accompany students and families in personal, family, socio-administrative, or financial difficulty.

You work in close collaboration with the other members of the school's resource group.

The communication of criminal records (clean criminal record) is required to perform the function.

Responsibilities ##

• Evaluate situations, conduct interviews, and take the necessary follow-up actions on a socio-educational and administrative level.
• Promote school - family - social network links as well as the social and administrative integration of students.
• Help students with their administrative procedures.
• Supervise and provide preliminary assessments for students' requests for financial aid.
• Participate in various work sessions related to the life of the establishment and the support of students.
• Ensure links with partner institutions and carry out administrative tasks related to the function.

Qualifications ##

• Bachelor's in social work (HES) or an equivalent title
• Professional experience with young people and if possible in the field of social and professional integration - 5 years
• Knowledge of the migration field and the Vaud school system desired
• Interest in multidisciplinary work, active listening, and empathy
